Training Methodology @Universal Education
Training Methodology at Universal Education is Unique and Effective. Avishek's Quant class (Aptitude) has a unique approach to train students. U.E trains the students on both conventional methods as well as U.E's shortcut methods. U.E's shortcuts are the quickest, error free and captivating. U.E 's Chief Promoters and Directors are directly involved in designing training modules.
They have developed these shortcuts for the effortless get through to any kind of entry level examination in much quicker and error free way. We believe to train on conventional method before the shortcuts as the conventional methods of solving problems are step driven and concept based. Concepts once acquired and learnt, can never be forgotten lifelong
Below are few methodologies demonstrated:
Algebra:
Q. Find the value of X? (x+7) (x+9) = (x+3) (x+21)
Conventional Way: Rather during conventionally that is multiplying as written below
(x+7) (x+9) = (x+3) (x+21)
2 2 ð X + 3x +7x+21 = x +3x+21x+63
ð 10 x + 21 = 24 x + 63 ......................
and proceeding so on which is larger method and even chances of error is high....
U.E” Method: Here 7 × 9 = 3 × 21 = 63 Therefore x = 0
Q. Find the equation of the line joining (10,5) and (18,9)
Conventional Way: Method is very long and critical.
U.E” Method: We see that both points the first number is twice the second, so we do not need to calculate the equation; it is x =2y.
Q. 49 × 50 × 51 =?
U.E's Method: 49 × 50× 51 = (50) – 50 = 125000-50= 1214950
Isn't the method Fantastic?
Q. 299 × 300 × 301 =?
3U.E”s Method:(300) -300 = 27000000 – 300 = 26999700
Profit & Loss:
Q1. The cost price of 10 articles is equal to selling price of 9 articles. Find Profit Percentage?
Conventional Way: Let the cost price (c.p) of 1 article = X
Similarly the cost price of 2 articles = 2X
Therefore the cost price of 10 article = 10 X
Selling price of 9 article = Cost price of 10 articles ( given)
So, Profit% = S.P – C.P × 100% C.P
Therefore we can write Profit% =10X – 9X × 100%
9X Profit = 100 % 9
U.E's Method: If the cost price of x article is equal to selling price of y articles then the profit % = x-y / y × 100 % So, profit % = 10 – 9 / 9 × 100 % = 100 / 9 %
Q2 A fruit mechant makes a profit of 25 % by selling mangoes at a certain price. If he charges Re 1 more on each mango, he would gain 50 %. Find at what price per mango did he sell at first. Also find the cost price per mango.
Conventional Way: Suppose the cost price of a mango be Rs X.st Then 1 selling price = Rs X (100 + 25 / 100) = Rs 5X / 4
U.E's Method: Cost price = 100 × More charges / % difference in profit
C.P = 100 × 1 / 50 -25 = Rs 4 and S.P = 1 × 125 / 50 – 25 = Rs 5
Verbal Aptitude:
Choose the appropriate word.
Q1. Nature has taken its / his / her vengeance by claiming lives.
Q2. The Sun with its / his / her warmth, provided relief from the bitter cold.
U.E's Method:
Whenever a lifeless object is personified, it takes either a feminine or masculine gender, depending on the quality it exhibits.
Answer (1): Nature has taken his vengeance by claiming lives.
Answer (2): The Sun with her warmth, provided relief from the bitter cold.
